During the OWee of 2020 the guidelines by the Dutch government will of course be adhered to. Every to-be-student will come to Delft for one day only, in order to discover as much as possible of Delft, in a safe yet fun manner. To make this possible, several choices have been made by the OWee board. Scroll down below for specifics!
<<Pay attention: this page will be updated as government advice changes>>
Will I have to be tested on the COVID-19 virus before I arrive at the OWee in Delft?
No, students who participate in the physical part of the OWee do not have to be tested on the virus. However, it is important to stay at home if you have health complaints, or have been in contact with someone who has been tested positive on the Coronavirus, in order to prevent further spread of the virus and protect other students.
Am I required to wear a face mask during the OWee?
According to the advice from our government, for the time being it is not mandatory to wear a face mask, unless you have to travel by public transport or when keeping 1.5 metres distance is not possible. This is why during the OWee it is not required to wear a face mask. Of course, if you wish so yourself you are allowed to wear one.
How is the OWee organised so I will be able to keep enough distance from others?
During the physical days, a total of 450 participants will arrive in Delft each day. This group will be split in two parts, one half beginning the programme on the campus of the TU Delft, and the other starting the day in the city-centre of Delft. Moreover, everyone is put into groups of 10 participants, and each group will have its own student-mentors who will supervise in order to guarantee a safe distance between all partiicpants.
